canstock0179531 A liberal war on the constitution

During a recent trip to Egypt, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg suggested to Egyptian revolutionaries: “I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a Constitution in the year 2012.”  This from one whose oath of office requires her to “…preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America…”  That was closely followed by the Obama Administration’s Health and Human Services Department issuing a mandate attacking religious freedom as provided by the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Last week, the Administration’s Secretary of Defense testified before the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee, stating the Administration would first seek international permission from NATO and the United Nations to bomb Syria, and then decide whether they wanted to get permission from Congress before proceeding—despite the fact Article I, Section 8, of the U.S. Constitution reserves for Congress alone the power to declare war.

Now we hear from Democrats- the hilarious claim- that Republicans are promoting a “War on Women.”  It seems to me there might be a liberal/progressive war being waged on the U.S. Constitution!
